Framo Standard Training Seminar

A 3-day seminar focused on crew sailing onboard vessels with Framo Cargo Pumping systems. The focus areas are on theoretical knowledge, operation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting at sea. Both classroom and practical learning are key parts of the training.

Course content

• Introduction to Framo and the Cargo Pumping System.
• Technical buildup of Framo hydraulic and control system.
• Hydraulic oil & filtration.
• Framo Cargo Pump construction.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshooting.
• Purging.
• Pumping theory.
• Operation of Framo Cargo Pump system during discharging, loading, stripping and tank cleaning.
• Emergency Operation.
• Handling of difficult cargoes and cargo heating.
• Spare parts.
• Evaluation of used parts.
• Framo Portable Pump.
• Practical training - Operation of a Framo Cargo Pump system and hands on experience dismantling and assembly of a Framo Cargo Pump. (Location dependent).

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

• Understand the technical principles of the Framo Cargo Pumping System.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting with confidence.
• Apply best practices and maintain safety awareness when working with Framo Cargo Pumping systems.
• Plan and manage spare parts inventory and maintenance schedules efficiently.
• Operate the system optimally.
• Recognize and respond to operational considerations associated with handling varying cargo types.

Framo Training Certificate
All course participants will receive a Training Diploma to show they have participated in the seminar.
All participants who fully attend the 3 days and pass the end of course evaluation will also receive a Framo Training Certificate valid for 5 years.

The Framo Training Certificate is very popular with many of our customers due to being able to ensure crew competence with the Framo Cargo system and it has been found to be helpful during industry standard vetting inspections
