The purpose of The Transparency Act is to respect fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in relation to the production of goods and the provision of services.

The law entered into force on July 1st 2022 and applies to larger enterprises that are resident in Norway, including larger foreign enterprises that offer goods and services in Norway.

Furthermore, the Transparency Act shall secure public information on how enterprises handle negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
